Points are awarded to teams for each match win throughout the esport leagues. Additional points are awarded to teams based on performance at the biggest esports tournaments. Teams rush to secure a hard point on the map while fighting the opposing team. A team earns one point for every second that they own a hard point with at least one participant standing on it. Whenever an enemy enters the zone, it is designated as contested, and no points are earned until all enemies have left.
Hardpoint rotates around the map every sixty seconds. Teams can rotate to the next hardpoint to prepare for the zone change. Each map has different hardpoint locations, but the rotation order stays the same and isn't random, letting a team practice their rotation strategies.
SnD Mode
The only mode in the Call of Duty League which does not allow for respawning is Search & Destroy (SnD). In this mode, an attacking team must transport a bomb to one of two locations on the map, plant it, and keep it from being defused. If the device has been planted, the defending team only has a few seconds to defuse it before it explodes. If the device is defused, they win. Alternatively, either team can defeat the other by annihilating it. In this case, the defenders have to defuse the device before the timer runs out.
In the esports championship, control is a unique combination of S&D and hardpoint elements. Teams take turns attacking and attempting to defend two predetermined goal areas on the map. To capture this hill, attackers must stand on it. Each team has 30 lives per round. Within the time limit, destroy all of the opposing team's lives or take both hills on offense. A minute is added to the game when a control point is captured. To win, an opponent's 30 lives must be eliminated.
